About the Farm

When The Food Gatherer was looking for a venue for the first Food Festival in 2015,  Capel Manor College's Forty Hall Farm was a natural choice.   The working Farm is a hub of food production, producing great quality, certified organic food for the benefit of the local community; including meat, vegetables and eggs which are sold in the Farm Shop and distributed to local shops.  They also  run the Enfield Veg Co. vegetable bag scheme, delivering organic veg across Enfield. 

The Farm is home to several community groups too, including Forty Hall Vineyard , London's only commercial vineyard and the Forty Hall Farm Orchard. 

The Farm's mission is to educate visitors and students of Capel Manor College about farming and rural crafts and the Food Festival aims to play a part in this by creating a programme of activities that puts visitors in touch with their food and the people that make it.
